Can you show how you are trying to connect to a wireless network? Can you show the wireless adapter in Device Manager? What model is the wireless adapter? Go to start, type psr and press enter, then start recording and show how you are trying to connect and the properties for the wireless adapter in Device Manager. Once done, stop recording, and then save the zip file and upload it to us. (you can email it to me and I can upload it to my skydrive for other replyers to see, or find a file hosting service like skydrive.)Hello! Hi, First, I would like to confirm the following questions: 1. What's the brand or model of the Wireless network adapter? 2. What wireless program are you using, built-in wireless manager or other third party Wireless program? Can we access the Wireless router on other machine? 3. Is there an exclamation mark or question mark in Device Manager? Please go to Device Manager, right click your Wireless network adapter in the list and select Update Driver Software; then click Search automatically for updated driver software. Note: Drivers on the Windows Update site are directly provided by hardware manufacturers. Microsoft tests drivers in various environments before they are published; however, we cannot guarantee all drivers will work on all hardware platforms as there are too many different models, although their hardware ID are the same as the standard version. In some cases, due to hardware modifications by different manufacturers, the driver updates may cause some error. If the driver is installed successfully, please refer to the following steps. 1. If the Wireless router is encrypted, please make sure the password of the Wireless network is correct. 2. Verify the relevant Wireless service ========================= a. Click "Start", go to run, type "services.msc" (without quotation marks) in the open box and press Enter. Note: If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type your password, or click Continue. b. Right click the "WLAN AutoConfig" service and choose Properties. c. On Dependencies tab, please write down all services name and start them one by one first. d. Then start the WLAN AutoConfig service again. However, if the error still popped up, let's perform the suggestions from the link below. http://social.technet.microsoft.com/forums/en-US/itprovistanetworking/thread/6d4a8783-04f7-435d-9648-f7668cd67158/ ; Thanks, Novak
