Hi,

>>no printer- active directory domain services is unavailable

Before going further, would you please elaborate under what circumstances this happened? Did the printer previously work properly? At this moment, we can follow the reply provided by Leo Huang to troubleshoot this issue.

Can't print. Error message: Active Directory Domain Service is currently unavailable

I am having the same problem in Windows 8.1 - in fact, I use multiple printers in different wireless settings and they are all gone. Everything had been working for a couple of years until a week ago. Since then, tech services had remotely reset them and the printer worked - until the computer restarted, and then I was back to 0 - couldn't add printer and kept getting that same "active directory domain services unavailable" message. Any ideas?

Where any of you able to get an answer to this issue?  I just upgraded to Windows 10 and have the same issue.  Hand a number of printers set up that had been working for some time in various networks I use and now all of them are gone.  I try to set up up and get the error about Active directory domain Services unavailable.  Getting close to switching this PC back to 8.1 but out of the 5 I have done already this is the first one I have had this issue with.

I figures out the problem.  When I upgraded I logged into my personal account and not the admin user for this pc.  I was working and testing as my own user.  This is where I had the problem.  Figuring it had something to do with user control I logged out of mine user and went into the admin user.  It set up the admin user for Windows 10.  I configured a couple of other things while I was there and tested printing and all my printers were present.  I then logged out of the admin user and back into my personal user and now all my printers are there.  I think I threw it off by not logging in and letting Windows 10 set up the admin user account before I logged into my account.  Not sure why I did that.  I guess it is a habit.  Anyway, the error was user error this time.
