i installed windows 7RC everything seems to work fine except i am not showing any internet connection it keeps saying my ethernet cable is not hooked up. i have unplugged and plugged it back in many times and still nothing. it worked just fine before the upgrade i am not sure what i need to do

I had same issue. Network connection was fine until I had a driver crash. On reboot, no internet connectivity. (It then ran network set-up on it's own and couldn't find the connection.) Used the System Restore Point and rolled back to last good point. Rebooted, and got connection back.

Try uninstalling from device manager and let Windows install it automatically. Any luck with that?
