no internet access on host when external switch set

When I point my External Virtual Switch at my WiFi connection, it kills the internet access on my host machine while I have internet access on the VM

Hyper-v set up:

  • External Virtual Switch: connected to host WiFi
  • Internal Virtual Switch
  • Private Virtual Switch

VM set up:

  • Internal Adapter: IPv4 IP Address: 5.5.5.10, Subnet: 255.255.255.0
  • External Adapter: DHCP

Host set up:

  • vEthernet(Internal Virtual Switch):  IPv4 5.5.5.5, Subnet 255.255.255.0
  • WiFi (Public wifi with access code or general WiFi)

related to your VM should be LAN, WIFI and Bluetooth driver

try also update chipset and BIOS

Find the update at your PC or mainboard manufactured site
