Is the Local Area Network enabled? Open Network and Sharing Center from Control Panel. Click on Change Adapter Settings on the left. Right Click on Local Area Connection. Is the first choice Enable? If so it's disabled. Click on it and see if the wired connection then works.Rich Why can't I be different and original like everybody else? - Vivian Stanshal

Just a thought, have you try connecting to the net directly through the modem thus bypassing the router for the time being and see how it goes? And is your IP address using static or dhcp?

Hi, As Daniel was mentioned, please bypass the router and connect to DSL Modem directly via wired cable to check whether Internet can be accessed. If not, please uninstall the NIC driver and upgrade to the latest one for a test. If the issue persists, please run "IPCONFIG /ALL" in command console and check whether the machine can get an IP address. Thanks, Novak
