no iPv4 connectivity; no iPv6 connectivity after Windows updates
I don't know what I am doing and don't know why I don't have internet access. I have tried resetting the wireless router and the modem from Fairpoint. There is internect activity, but it says no internet. When I look further, it says "iPv4 connectivity--no network access" and "iPv6 connectivity--no network access". I am on a laptop with a wireless connection, using Windows 7; others in the house have "hard wire" connections to the internet and are fine. Is this an issue with IE 9? I have tried recovering my laptop from a previous restore point and the internet will work for a day, but upon next reboot, there's no internet. Thank you kindly for any help!

If you reset router, then you need to configure it to cover IPv4 and IPv6. To exclude router, use cross cabel to connect your computers. Regards Milos

I don't even know where to begin. I don't know how to configure the router to cover IPv4 and IPv6. Thanks for your advice, though.

It also says a cable is unplugged from area network, but that is not the case.

Actually...it turns out that it was a problem with McAfee software.
