new ntbackup, truecrypt & no devices
I really like Win7 and I'm happy I got it already. But I have problems with the new backup utility.Anything works, but backup can't find backup devices. My system drive (the whole drive) is encrypted using truecrypt but is available (drives c and d). I have an usb storage device, 1 partition ntfs (g), 1 partition tc encrypted, mounted as drive h:. But for the system the original h partition (no drive letter) has no file system (of course, it's the encrypted partition that h uses)Drives c, d, g and h are available using windows explorer. But Backup redirects my choise for the backup target only to network storage. No local entries are present, only this dialog:Is this a bug? Thanks for your help :)

I have the same issue. My trucrypt mounted drive does not show as a usable drive for backups.

Same problem here. But i have found an answer in the german technet forum. It seems TrueCrypt does not present the device name correctly to Windows. And so, the TrueCrypt Support have to fix this problem. For the german speaking: http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/de-DE/windows_clientde/thread/352d51d4-c7a3-4dd2-bf8c-0bc2f86a6bd8

Maybe, but it should not crash the backup application :)In my example drive g is not a truecrypt device, and therefore it should be possible to store a backup on it
