networking concerns in windows 7 home basic
i set up a network in my computers and the issue is when im try to access other pc`s from the server a dialog box is popping out and saying need to log in username and password but i didnt set up a password for it and when i look at the settings of networking the password is turned off.. the question is what will i do with it?? cause i really need to transfer some file on my other computers... thanks hoping for a solution and answers in my conern..

Hi, If you want to access other PC form your Windows 7, you need user name and password if they haven’t set the permission to you to access their PC. So please check if you have permission to access their share folder, or set the permission of these share folder to everyone. Furthermore, you can try to disable firewall and UAC for test. Did you ensure password protection sharing is turn off? Verify it under network & sharing center>advanced sharing center>password protection sharing
