networking 2 window 7 computers
I have 2 computers in a network, one was an existing windows 7 systems(newer one) and i upgraded the other one from vista to windows 7 and i finally got them to see each other...but whats the procedure to get permission to see the files? I have no idea where to get the user id and password to allow use of it...ALSO..when i open my networking connections..one computer says that its connected to my network called "personal" (the older vista system that already was connected to personal) and the other says its connected to network called "network".. Ive never had them talk to each other because i could never get wondows talk to vista...... Michael P Shannon Sr also..do i start up a homegroup? I can start one up on the newer one, but the older vista one that i upgraded does not allow me to make a homegroup...i just want to adjust the window 7 files (newer one) in the comfort of my home! (business is next door)
