how do i network wondows 7 with local computers running windows xp

Hi Big-Dog, Here is what you need to do: 1. Try watching this video on file sharing on Vista and XP. OR 1. Use a router and connect both machines together. 2. On the Win7 machine, open up Network and Sharing Center, and click Customise. Ensure that it is a Private network. In Network and Sharing Center, also ensure that Network Discovery and File Sharing are turned on. Also, ensure that File And Printer Sharing is enabled in Windows Firewall. 3. On the XP machine, open up Windows Firewall,and ensure that File And Printer Sharing is ticked. Foxxconn Broadcom 802.11g adapter My problem is in the system when I installed the WLAN adapter device (ACER notebook) and connected to Internet after 10-15 minutes the device disconnected the Internet and didn't work untill the system restarting. Hi Zozinyo, I suggest that you go try downloading and installing the latest WLAN adapter device drivers from the manufacturer's website (Acer or Broadcom or Foxconn ). After installing the latest driver, please see if this problem persists.
