I purchased a wireless printer which I setup and it worked fine. I then did a system restore which resulted in the printer not working via wireless.Ire-installed the printer program and when it came to the part when you put the type of modem it displayed a belkin modem but not with the same code as the one I have. When I go to the wireless network wizard it give me an option to add a computer to the belkin 3AE2 modem(which is the correct one) or set up a new network.Part of the setup is a security series of letters - the one's shown on the computer are not the same as the ones for this modem and when I try to connect it wont work.regardsIan

Hi, If the issue is associated with the router/modem, you will have to contact the OEM of the device for additional support. However if you are attempting to connect the wireless printer, please proceed with the following support steps. I would suggest you to connect the printer directly to the system and check whether you are able to print or not. Step 1: Verify the IP Address of the printer (Static IP is suggested). Follow the steps mentioned below.a. Start -> Printers and Faxes, or Start -> Control Panel -> Printers and Faxesb. Right-click the printer name, and left-click Propertiesc. Click the Ports tab, and widen the first column which displays IP address of the printers Step 2:I would suggest you to uninstall printer software as well as the drivers and then reinstall it from the manufacturers website and check whether you are able to print or not. Step 3:In Windows XP, follow these steps to add the wireless printer to your computer:1. Go to Start, Printers and Faxes.2. Double click on Add Printer3. Click Next.4. On the Local or Network Printer dialog box, choose Local Printer and UNCHECK the box that says "Automatically detect" the printer. Click Next.5. On the Select a Printer Port window, choose to Create a New Port, and then under Type of Port, choose Standard TCP/IP port. Click Next.6. Make sure the printer is On and Ready, and connected to the network. Click Next.7. Type in the static IP address of the printer that you set in the steps above. Click Next.8. It will then try to connect to that IP address. It you typed it wrong, or the printer is off, it will come back and give you an error.9. If all is well, it should then ask you for the printer driver. If it is an older printer, it may already be listed in Windows. Alternatively, you can insert the CD for the printer, and find the Windows XP English version of the driver. It will be an .inf file most likely.10. Double click on the appropriate INF file and then choose the driver you want to install. (the PCL 6 version is usually the one you should choose).11. Click Next. It will install the driver and ask you to name the printer.12. When it is done, click Finish. (You can choose to print a test page if you want). I would suggest you to check with belkin support for further assistance.
