network location dialog comes up in domain
Hello,we're testing the unattended roll out of Windows 7 Professional (x64).While installation the computer is correctly joined to the domain. But after the first logon the network location dialog always comes up even though it is a domain joined computer and therefore none of the three types "home", "work" or "public" apply (see "http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/Choosing-a-network-location").How can we diable the automatic diplay of that needless dialog box?mfgM. Hi, Please try the following steps to troubleshoot the issue. 1. Create a new Registry key (without any value) NewNetworkWindowOff in KEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Network 2. Temporarily disable the "Network Location Awareness" service for a test. If the issue disappears, please turn on the service again. 3. If the issue persists, I suggest you leave the domain and join domain again. Thanks, Novak

Novak, I have the same issue also. I am trying to build a ZTI deployment of 7 on a ADS domain and this window appears on logon. I will attempt the fixes you suggested above. Interestingly, I have followed official documentation and assigned the unattend.xml setting as directed by several books and help files; Configuration Pass = 7 oobesystem \ OOBE \ networklocation. Is there an alternative configuration i can use inside the unattend, xml?
