you are to assign the network key if you are creating the wireless network, users trying to connect to the network would have to enter the key you assigned in order o connect, as a security feature.Tunde Abagun MCP,MCSA,MCTS,MCITP en p "for the love of Computers"

Hi, Thanks for posting! Could you please provide more information of your network environment? Home network? Wireless? Usually, A network key is a security feature that prevents unauthorized users from accessing a network. It can be a simple password or a self-generated combination of digits and letters. I don't know what type of router you have (if any), but I can get this info from my Linksys router by accessing it directly through a web URL. I access my router with a web URL of 192.168.1.1 Then look under the settings. The network key is shown there. The method is likely to be similar for your router. Recommend you reset your router to its out-of-the-box configuration and rebuild from scratch. And this time keep your passwords and keys in a safe but findable place. Regards, Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question. This can be beneficial to other community members reading the thread.
