Which error message do you get and what is it that you are trying to map, i.e. a Windows Server 2003 share or NAS device for instance?Blogging about Windows for IT pros at www.theexperienceblog.com

Hi, Based on my research, I would like to suggest the following: 1. Check if you can ping the Windows Sever 2003. 2. Check if this Windows 7 client can access some other share folders. 3. Please try accessing the network drive with “\\IP Address\folder”, ”\\computer name\folder” or “\\NAS name\folder” and see how it works. If any error message appears, please also let us know. 4. In Windows 7, please try the following: 1) Open Registry Editor, navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Lsa\ 2) Create LMCompatibilityLevel (DWord) and set the value to 1. For more information, please also refer to: LmCompatibilityLevel Hope this helps. Thanks. Nicholas Li - MSFT
