network drive connectoin
How do i connect a network drive (linux server).... Ohh and i hav tryd the easy way... it connects bt doesn't wanna open the drive??? Plz help

Hi, Thank you for your post! Before going further, I would appreciate if you can clarify the following questions: 1. Can you map the network drive? 2. when did this happen? At this point, I would suggest try the following steps to troubleshoot: 1. Go to the command prompt and type IPCONFIG and then ENTER. Do this on both side, the server and client. 2.Ensure that you have all software like the Windows Firewall turned off (click on Start/Settings/Control Panel and Windows Firewall). Turn it off. Then, shut down/restart your computer. 3. Go to Network and sharing Center->Advanced sharing settings->select to turn on Network discovery. 4. Make sure the file on the server is set to be accessible.
