network does not resume hibernation
The network connection is unavailable after resuming from hibernation. I have to disable and enable the LAN connection to get internet/network connectivity back. Under Power Management, both 'Allow the computer to turnoff this device to save power' and 'Allow this device to wake the computer' are unchecked. The adapter is listed as Intel PRO/100 VE network connection

The network adapter is not supported for Windows 7 by Intel. Therefore, you may run into issues like this using the Windows provided driver. http://downloadcenter.intel.com/SearchResult.aspx?lang=eng&ProductFamily=Network+Connectivity&ProductLine=Intel%c2%ae+Desktop+Adapters&ProductProduct=Intel%c2%ae+PRO%2f100+VE+Network+Connection&ProdId=2809&LineId=59&FamilyId=38 Installing a Windows 7 supported add-in network adapter and disabling this device in the BIOS would be the best solution. A basic one will do, they are not very expensive.
