net use error 53
Both machines have their network set to Work (in network and sharing center, you would click on the link in the active network section, if it were "home network" or "public network"), both machines have netbios over tcp/ip enabled (properties of adapter, properties of tcp/ip v4, advanced button, wins tab), and both have the same username (and password) and full rights to a share on either machine. I can run \\machinename\sharedfolder (or use \\ipaddress\sharename) and it will load fine. I can run an elevated command propmt (right click on cmd, and "run as administrator") and run "net use s: \\machinename\sharedfolder" and it works; HOWEVER, I can't run the net use command from a regular command prompt (or really, in a batch file; which by the way, doesn't work if I set it's properties to always run as administrator and turn off uac just to stop the stupid prompt). Agh!!! Any ideas (other than the basics above; and please no powershell comments)? For now, mapped network drive (I just don't like when one of the computers goes to sleep because it's a laptop, then the desktop takes a few moments extra when doing any kind of computer window, or open/save prompt)."All things are possible, but not all things are permissible"

Hi, I would like to check whether you could manually map network drive via UI not the command? Meanwhile, please check the following: 1. Turn off UAC to check the result 2. Test the issue using another user account.
