The net.tcp port sharing service terminates with an error ID of 7034 I only noticed this error was occurring when my Windows Home Server 2011 connector would not connect, so I checked the event logs and realized the service was failing What I've tried: Reinstall .net framework 4.5 RCRepair .net framework 4.5Now uninstalled .net 4.5 RCI also tried this fix from connect.microsoft.com (http://connect.microsoft.com/VisualStudio/Downloads/DownloadDetails.aspx?DownloadID=35626)Reinstall the WHS 2011 connector Still the service terminates I am running Win 7 x64 this has only occurred in the last couple of weeks.

Hi , By default, permission to use the port sharing service is granted to system accounts (LocalService, LocalSystem, and NetworkService) as well as members of the Administrators group. You may give the Net.Tcp Port Sharing service Local System logon (In Services--> Net.Tcp Port Sharing service--> Properties-->Logon Account. More information about .Net TCP/IP Port Sharing, please check out the following blog: http://blogs.msdn.com/b/andreal/archive/2009/04/05/net-tcp-ip-port-sharing.aspxTracy Cai TechNet Community Support

This seems to be total mess. Why did you play with .NET Framework 4.5 which is not in final version? There has been problems with .NET after some may updates. People resolved it by using .NET removal tool and reinstall. This has covered .NET Famework 2 (.NET 3.5 contains .NET 2). For .NET 4 use http://blogs.msdn.com/b/astebner/archive/2010/05/13/10012778.aspx and follow with http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=17851 Regards Milos PS: Perhaps the WHS forum could give you a hint.
