need permissions from me!
Please help! I'm going insane!... Have done everything I can to rectify a problem including following all similar sounding issues on forums' advice and nothing is working! Bought lenovo z575 yesterday, plugged my external hard-drive into it and tried to encrypt a folder with Veriface. Then... (and only f+f on ext HD) folders and files within did slightly different things but generally it didn't know who the owner was and I didn't have access to them so I changed owner / permissions etc to enable me to view my pictures. (This is a very lengthy process for each folder and photo but none-the-less) I then wanted to delete one of the folders... (This folder had a folder in with files in that.) It wouldn't allow me saying I needed admin permissions or permission from the owner (i am both). I thought I could delete files to delete inner folder and then outer folder. The files went but the inner folder won't (and stops outer folder from deleting) I can't put files back in either. Numerous other 'little' problems related but this is the worst of it. How can i, as the only owner and admin not have access to delete a folder? Thanks, James

For anyone else in the same boat with folders in folders unable to delete / rename... ensure both folders are owned by administrators (plural) and both have permissions for administrators on full control. I've spent hours today trying to work the solution so I was both annoyed but delighted when my fiancee walked in pressed a few buttons and chanced upon this.... grrrr lol. Hope this helps others :D
