name resolving problem windows 7 over ssl-vpn
When we connect our new windows 7 laptops to our corporate network over an SSL-VPN, name resolving doesn't work. It works fine when working with XP clients. Nslookup's give the right result from the right DNS server. on the win7 clients but a ping or a http session to a name would fail. Windows firewall nor our Cisco firewall was the problem. Things worked just fine when i disabled the "DNS client" service. What is not working and is there any other solution to this problem? Pieter

Hi, I suggest you try the following steps to check what the result is: 1. Open an elevated command prompt. To do this, click Start, type CMD in the search box, right click the CMD.exe, and then click Run as administrator. If you are prompted for an administrator password or for a confirmation, type the password, or click Allow. 2. At the command prompt, type the following command, and then press ENTER: ipconfig /flushdns Hope it helps.
