my windows 8.1 only boots to sleep mode (pulsing power light)

When I restart my windows 8.1 pc it immediately goes to sleep mode, no splash screen, bios, nothing hits the screen.

new 8,1 windows load a couple of weeks ago, everything had been great. Then one night it just would not come out of sleep mode.

will not boot from usb or cdrom. I have pulled the drive and viewed it on another pc, no issues. Is there a file I can remove to make it do a normal boot?

Thanks

Can you provide me with the make and model of the computer?

If it has a removable battery take it out and unplug the power cord.  Press and hold the power button for 15 seconds or so and try powering on (after plugging in the power cord)
