i cannot get to any of my computer control panel or anything in wondows system32

Turn on the computer and after the BIOPS but before Windows starts press F8. Select Restore options and choose the most recent restore point prior to the date the problem started. Be patient for the screen to appear in both cases. It may take a while. Hopefully you have the installation dvd. The other option is to Boot to that and after language is entered select repair options and select a restore as above. This is why an external drive and a complete pc backup and file backup routine are very useful. You could be back in business in less than an hour. Anyway, good luck on the system restore.
