my recovery drive is totally full - need to free space
a 410 dell vostro windows premuim edition was given to me. when i started using this computer the recovery drive was 99% full and in the red zone. i was able to clear it by simply deleting things that i had no idea what they were. i got the drive down to about 80% free space. of coarse the computer didn't function properly, but it let me know what wasn't functioning; i was able to down load drivers, programs and updates i needed until it was complete. when complete the drive still had about the same amount of free space; although it seemed complete it still had to many bugs and performance problems, i was tired of things not working right - so i reinstalled windows. now the computer is working like a champ; all the junk is gone, completely fresh with recomended windows updates (seemed like to many, more than 100). now the problem is better because it's clear of junk, but back at the point of a completely full recovery drive that's in the red zone. i'm unable to erase things like i did before even with owner security clearence; i'm sure for a reason. but why was i able to get the D: drive down in used space before with the computer totally functionable (factoring in bugs), and now i can't ????

the content of the recovery drive is not meant to be deleted. But incase you STILL want it emptied, i suggest you re-install/format properlyTunde Abagun MCP,MCSA,MCTS,MCITP en p "for the love of Computers"
