Hi pjlondon,1. What exactly happens when you login to guest account?2. Do you get any error message?3. Do you get to see the icon for the other account, to which you used to login? The built-in Administrator account is disabled by default in Windows XP.a. However, if no other administrative accounts exist on the system it may be enabled.b. If it is, you will see an icon for Administrator on the Welcome Screen in Safe Mode.c. Boot to the desktop in Safe Mode and then try to login to the built-in admin account.Refer the below link for information on how to boot to the desktop in Safe Mode:A description of the Safe Mode Boot options in Windows XP:http://support.microsoft.com/kb/315222d. Log in and then you may try creating a new user account with Administrative privileges. How to create and configure user accounts in Windows XP?http://support.microsoft.com/kb/279783Regards, Manasa P – Microsoft Support.
