my network places. double entries
i have xp pro. My Network Places lists double entries for many shared folders from the other computers on my home network also from my computer's shared folders.EXAMPLE: i have a computer named desktop. [only desktop lrfy, other are laptops) in my network places list there are 30 or so entries 2 of which areas follow. bothe take me from my laptop to the desktop folder "SharedDocs on Desktop"SharedDocs on DesktopSharedDocs on Desktop (Desktop)i think there should only be one. see no value in both being listed. so how do i clean this mess up? anyone got some help, direction, or a clue?thanks

did not help. the suggested answer seems to focus on pinned entries. and is for win 7. i have xp pro. the list under my network places was build for me. (i think) i assume that it contains allshared folders on my internal home network. 2 laptops - 1 vista, 1 xp pro, 1 desktop xp pro, and network printers, dvd, sound system and misc stuff. i haven't done much on these help forums. do i submit my request for help in the right place and in the right way?

Not sure if you still need help.I would just delete them.If there are in my network places you can right click and delete them. They get added on automatically as you map drives and explore your network. If I helped let me know!
