my laptop restarts frequently
please help... my laptop restarts frequently when i connect the charger but when i change the power settings to high performance, the system restarts only once. but when i enter in safe mode, the system does not restart... while running in batteries there are no problems.. i tried to reinstall windows but when the installation progress reaches about 17% the system restarts again... please help my system details: Toshiba L350 laptop intel pentium dual core cpu @1.86GHz 2 gb ram 320 gb hdd operating system: Windows 7 Ultimate build 7600. i had removed most of the programs that drain the battery faster and the problem still persists...

Is this new or old phenomenon? My guess is that this is hardware problem and Toshiba support may confirm it. Rgds Milos

I think it is overheating. without power, it is not charging so it won't heat up but while you are using with charging battery, it gets so much heat and restart the laptop. I think there could be a fan failure can not cool it down. I think if your laptop is out of warranty, just don't use it while it is charging. if it is under warranty, please ask them to look. www.zon-ze.com
