Hi, 1. Are you able to boot to the desktop?2. Which administrator options are locked?3. Is this the default/built in administrator account or you created it? I would ask you to boot into the safe mode built in administrator account and then change the password for your current account. If you are able to boot in safe mode possibility could be this that another 3rd party installed program or application is causing the conflict.Refer:A description of the Safe Mode Boot options in Windows XPhttp://support.microsoft.com/kb/315222 Hope this information was useful. Thanks and Regards:Shekhar S - Microsoft Support.
