Hi my computer freezes and a black kind of box appears in my icon tool bar. the mouse works but changes to egg timer. but nothing else happens it freezes until i reboot left it for 20 minutes and had to reboot. what is the black icon? im running XP thank you for the help in this matter.Ideas:Programs you are having problems with Error messages Recent changes you made to your computer What you have already tried to fix the problem

You posted a Q that relates to winxp to a Win7 group???Boot your PC into Safe mode and test whether it then freezes.Check Event Viewer for any problem events
