Hi i have purchased a 32 gb usb named Imation.while copying files to usb from computer .my pc shuts down due to power supply shortage. after a while i restart my computer.but usb drive is not working properly.when i try to open it.shows that "you must format if before use". i start the format but after a while it says "windows was unable to complete the format".and it was unable to open. Please help !

1. Probably you have FAT32 file system instead of NTFS (NTFS is less vulnerable in situations like this one.) 2. Try program Recuva (free download) and restore invisible files: http://www.piriform.com/recuva 3. Perhaps the file allocation table has been damaged. Look for recovery tools if (2) has not helped.
