msg.exe doesn't work on Windows 7 when used with Group Policies
Hi All, I want to display a message on all the PCs that are joined to my domain, so i did the following 1- Created a group policy and configured a scheduled task in the Computer Configuration/Preferences 2- The configuration of the task is to run everyday, display a message, and run whether the user is logged in or not (as far as i know, the "display a message" action uses msg.exe) 3- Linked the group policy to the computers OU This way didn't work, so i created a script with a msg.exe command, and put it as a logon script for a test user, and unfortuantely this way didn't work either (when i run the command locally, it works like a charm). I also enabled the AllowRemoteRPC registry key, and the Remote Registry service on my test PC, and still the problem exists. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Cheers,Cheers, Adham
