msconfig
I am able to run msconfig from a command prompt after booting with the windows 7 repair disk (64-bit), but it tells me I need administrative privelages. Not logged on, am booting from the repair disk like I said. What am I doing wrong?

Can you proceed first with repairing the windows, thats the very reason you are using the repair disk this if am not mistaken. After your done with such remove the disk boot normally and log in then pull out msconfig. - with your conventional log in account. MVP Windows Security

Windows 7 is working fine- read somewhere that you can run msconfig from a cmd. prompt after booting with the repair disk. Was trying to do this for testing purposes; for future troubleshooting procedure. Like I said, when I load msconfig from a cmd prompt,(after booting with repair disk) it says I need administrator privelages.
