Uninstall Microsoft Word, then reinstall it. Then visit Windows Update and download all available updates.Carey Frisch

MS Word. What version? Not that it makes a difference, but specifics also help when it comes to troubleshooting an issue.

Have you checked that you have all available updates for MS Word installed? If not then I suggest you update everything first and see if that improves matters. An alternative of course is to re-install MS Word. It may simply be a glitch which re-installing may solve.John Barnett - Windows XP Associate Expert; Windows Desktop Experience. - Web: http://www.winuser.co.uk; Web: http://xphelpandsupport.mvps.org; Web: http://vistasupport.mvps.org

Have you tried the Microsoft Office website? http://office.microsoft.com/en-gb/FX100647101033.aspx The default setting of Windows Update is to also use Microsft Update which updates any Microsoft software you have on your system, therefore you may already be competely up to date. If you are and you are still having problems then it might be time to re-install/repair the installation. You should be able to do this by selecting uninstall in the programs and features and then selecting 'repair' Well that is the usual procedure with Microsoft Office 2007. I assume it is the same for any individual packages such as Word.John Barnett - Windows XP Associate Expert; Windows Desktop Experience. - Web: http://www.winuser.co.uk; Web: http://xphelpandsupport.mvps.org; Web: http://vistasupport.mvps.org
