mouse is not working

Hi all,

2 weeks ago i bought a new wireless logitec mouse for my computer. I've used the brand before on this computer and never had no problem, but since I've used this mouse my computer mouse stopped working.

My computer mouse works until the computer is fully running. so in the user menu and even on my desktop menu until about 1-2 minutes the system is up and running it stops.

Ive tried restarting without the wireless mouse and still i get the same result. How can i fix this? I want them both working.

If I am understanding, you are having the same issue with a wired mouse?

Have you tried a different USB port? Is so, have you updated the USB drivers from Device Manager?

Hi Acreed thank you for your reply, the wireless mouse works great. its just the laptop mouse that stops working after the system is fully loaded

Athena,

It is possible that after plugging in your USB mouse the touchpad was turned off. You can give these two things a try and let me know if it fixes the issue.

1. Open Control Panel.

2. Select Mouse.

3. Click Device Settings.

4. Select the touchpad device.

5. Click Enable.

Note: The above steps are generic, settings may vary for your laptop model.

The other option would be to uninstall the touchpad drivers and reinstall them. Without knowing the make and model of your laptop I cannot point you in the direction to find the drivers.

I would uninstall and re-install the touch pad drivers in device manager to see what happens.

windows+R --> type: Devmgmt.msc --> hit enter

Look for the trackpad drivers should be under "Mice and other pointing devices". Click the drop down arrow and right click on the driver --> uninstall

Reboot the computer and see what happens

Hi Athena,

What is your current situation?

When you say laptop mouse, if you mean the touchpad, you may follow Acreed02's suggestion to enable it again, and for further troubleshooting, please also contact the manufacturer and check if they could offer any further help.

You may also try to reinstall the touchpad driver as aw00t suggested.

Best regards
