Has problems using my touchpad on my laptop has a dell inspiron windows 7....when I go to type and different type of boxes pop up either from IE or a print box will pop up or if im in a chat box typing it will pop up boxes like mobile information to type in or call person etc....has to x out of these things to continue typing. Or it will delete things I have already typed which get to be aggravating...has windows 7

go here and get the latest Synaptics touchpad drivers and it will cure your problem as you didn't say but I'm willing to bet you upgraded from Vista to Windows 7 and the touchpad is now identified as a ps2 mouse and you don't see anything identifying it as Synaptics touchpad. http://drivers.synaptics.com/Synaptics_v14_0_3_C_XP32_Vista32_Win7-32_Signed_default.exe It'll give you far more control over the touchpad. Hi Sweetjas, I also would like to suggest you test the issue in Clean Boot to check if there are any software conflicts. What’s the result in Clean Boot? If it works normally in Clean Boot, you may perform Step 2 to Step 7 to narrow down the possible cause. Regards, Arthur Li - MSFT
