when computer goes on sleep mode and I wake in the morning to browse, my monitor comes on with only a white screen that I cannot access or browse from.

Do you have the latest drivers for the graphic card installed on your computer?4. Does the computer works fine in safe mode? I would suggest you to remove any external devices connected like printer, USB devices etc and check if the sleep functions properly. You may also visit the system manufacturer websites and check if you have the latest video drivers installed on your computer for your video card.
