any ideas how to fix missing or corrupt os on my sons Eee netbook i cant afford to keep running to geek squad and not getting issues fixed right on this darn thing been nothing but headaches since we bought it ,it doesnt have a disk drive so i cant reinstall windows at 1st all we got was blank screen then they sent it bk to manufactures and got it bk nomore blank screen but we get error message missing or corrupt os and thats all we can get its so frustrating he needs his netbook for school work and stuff please can anyone help us2 people need an answerI do too

Have you tried last known good configuration from the advanced options menu? I doubt seriously it will work but may be worth a try. If you have another computer containing windows operating system it is possible to create a windows disc. Of course you will still need a cd drive to install it on the laptop. Hello mommacat15, Some Eee notebooks are sold with Windows, some are sold with Linux. Does your have a Windows Certificate of Authenticity on the bottom? If so what Windows is listed on it? Do no post the product key.
