Hello Norbert, this can be caused by missing\corrupted MUI files for your system. One of less known changes to Windows 7 is that even EN is now handled as MUI language. Can you please try to re-install languange packs? Martin

Just try to create new user account and specify DE as default language. Do you get same error in that case?

You may find another Windows 7 system, copy the cmd.exe from the C:\Windows\System32 folder. Then, in the problematic system, take the ownership for the file C:\Windows\System32\cmd.exe, rename it and then copy the new cmd.exe into the folder C:\Windows\System32. If it does not help, I suggest you run In-place Upgrade to repair the system. Your personal data and installed programs will not be removed. However I still suggest you backup important data before repairing.

Just out of curiosity, can you have a look at your PATH variable?

Hi again Because i used VMWare I just jumped bag to an old snapshot Somehow the installation von additional language packs from the DVD Image brokes the stuff. If i need mutlilanguage again, i will install via windows update thanks for the Suggesstions. @Martin: sorry, but through my testing/playing around I deleted the not working Snapshot. So no way to give you the PATH variablenobs

Hi Norbert, that's completely normal, I didn't get that you are trying to run cmd.exe from different location :) In case you want to copy cmd.exe, you need to copy also following file:C:\Windows\System32\en-US\cmd.exe.mui to <desktop>\en-US\cmd.exe.muiThis applies to all console executables - by default, EN language is not part of executable (anymore), however is considered separate MUI language.Martin
