I was in error when I said I needed to get rid of windows defender! It is IE explorer defender that has to go. I have the 2 disabled that can be, it's the one underneath in the setting window that can't be disabled that must be causing problems. I can boot in safe mode if necessary to get it out of directory. I would not be surprised to find there is a hidden reinstaller lurking about too. Thanks for any cures.1 person needs an answerI do too
