merging users
My computer running Windows 7 came back with the disk reformatted with two users as administrators. One was under my name and the other under the computer name (ASUS). It's a pain switching users but there are certain programs, and files on one user and othes on the other. How can I merge them so there is only one user, me, without losing data? I'm the only user on this laptop.

Try using Windows Easy Transfer to get the data and settings from one account to the other - once you're happy that everything is working, you can then delete the 'old' account. -- Noel Paton | Nil Carborundum Illegitemi | CrashFixPC | The Three-toed Sloth

Hi, I am afraid you cannot merge two accounts on the same computer. You just can copy the old profile to the new one. However, it will re-write the configuration for the new one.
