memory usage question
right now, in task manager, I see this under physical memorytotal 3070cached 1100avail 1065does that mean 1100mb is being used as cache and can potentially be made available to applications?btw, the help file is very unhelpful. it just tells you how to open task manager.

Hi Barth2kPhysical memory (MB)Total 3070 = Total installed RAM.Cached 1100 = Recently used, contains information that helps toload the programs you use the most faster.Avail 1065 = Amount of Free, unused RAM.Also, look at the bottom of the Task Manager screen and you will see Physical Memory xx% which is the percentage of the RAM being used.If you open the Help file and search for Task Manager, in the Results, click the "See details about your computer's performance" link and you should see a description of these components.Hope this helps.Thank You for testing Windows 7 Beta Ronnie Vernon MVP
