I have been given an old computer as a hand me down for my child which has me on it, the internet was working via cable but i changed the screen/ and desk top ect. Know the internet will not connect. I have brought and installed me on to pc but it still will not connect on to the internet. would anu one have ideas suggestion on how to get internet back on the pc please?

Well certainly not in an OFFICE forum. You do realise that Windows ME is not supported any more and was a horrible OS to boot? (so to speak?) Changing the screen and desktop had NO effect whatsoever on the internet connection - that's just pure coincidence.
