mapping network drives in vista becoming a very big problem.
I have a server setup with a small network.
The network is very basic with a number of different PCs setup on it. (XP and Vista).
On one PC it seems as though a user account becomes corruptand I am no longer able to map a network drive. When trying to mapI get an error message"the network folder specified is currently mapped using a different username and password. To connect using a different username and password you first have to disconnectany existing mappingsto this network share."
The problem that exists is that there is no other mapped drives. When I try to disconnect a mapped network drive I do get an icon flash up, very quickly, then disappear. I don know if I was able to disconnect this hidden drive I would have no problem.
If a create a new user I can then connect to the drives no problem.
