mapped drive disappears during the day (not disconnected, disappears)
Hi all, I'm investigating an issue on Windows 7 x64 Pro. At logon the users are getting several drive mappings. Lately I'm getting a lot of tickets from users stating that in the morning they had their drives mapped. That they were able to work on them, but that at one point when they wanted to acces it from their "My Computer"; one of them had disappeared. The drive mapping isn't just in a disconnected state, it isn't visible anymore. Does anyone have an idea what could be causing this? SMB nor any other file service is being blocked by the personal firewall.. Many thanks! Filip

Hi all, Has anyone ever seen anything like this, or know why this is happening? Thx!

Hi Filip, maybe this one drive disappearing is deleted during the day by a group policy object? Have you take a look at the group policy preferences? There is one setting "delte network drives if connected". Greetings, Steve
