issue when manually configuring the network with multiple routers and it not allowing internet yet using the same exact settings under win xp 64 / virtual server 2005 I have no issues???

May be you have a multi-homed network environment. If so, please first confirm that which route is connecting to Internet. Then you need to ensure that this route is the Default Route for the system. Otherwise, if your default route is another route that does not connect to Internet finally, all data pack that should be sent to Internet will be sent to default route but not Internet. Please refer Default Gateway Configuration for Multi-homed Computers You may need to check and configure route table in the system.
