I do not have an antivirus program running or even on the computer..I was hoping someone will be able to tell me how to find a free method of getting rid of the trojans and malware?

A good freeware antivirus program is Avira Antivir Personal, among others (Avast or AVG free, for example). Or are youlooking for a method that does not imply the use of such a program?
