I have a lot of windows 7 machines that are falling off the domain and getting trust relationship errors. I had to take it out of domain and rejoin and sometimes rename the machine. any ideas? In the event logs I am getting event id 5721 and 5719 Log Name: System Source: NETLOGON Date: 12/12/2010 10:42:07 AM Event ID: 5721 Task Category: None Level: Error Keywords: Classic User: N/A Computer: xxxxxxxxxxxx Description: The session setup to the Windows NT or Windows 2000 Domain Controller \\DC.xxx.com for the domain DOMAIN failed because the Domain Controller did not have an account xxxxxx$ needed to set up the session by this computer xxxxxxx.

Hi, Before going any further, I would like to conform these situations: 1 Did these computers are recovered or restored with a previous status? 2 Did these problematic user can log on with other computers? I suggest performing these tests to troubleshoot the issue: 1 Open gpedit.msc, navigate to Computer Configuration/Administrative Templates/System/Logon, and Set Always wait for the network at computer startup and logon to Enabled. 2 Delete the problematic profile from the computer and log on again. 3 Check if the logon caching is turned off on Windows 7 machines: 1) Click Start, type: regedit in the Start Search box. 2) Open Registry Editor and find the ValueName of CachedLogonsCount under the following path, ensure the value isn’t set 0: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon If the CachedLogonsCount has a value of 0, set the value as 0 to 10. By default, Windows remember 10 cached logons. Hope it helps.
