I have a server running sbs 2003 which usually runs great. No problems. I've got Win7 setup on a laptop and when I access any share drives and especially when I try to copy something off, the server crashes with a machine_check_exception. Anyone ever seen this one? Thanks.

There is a hotfix for Server 2003 for this error. It is usually indicative of a failure with the HAL or a memory problem. Not a Windows 7 issue.

Thanks for the response Adam. I had applied the hotfix but figured out the problem. After reinstalling and trying everything else I started swapping components. This might be one of the weirdest problems I've run into, but once I swapped out the video card everything worked great. Not sure why a video card would crash the system only when accessing share folders from client systems, but it's working. Thanks again.
