What is your base language (the one that came with the PC) ? What languages are installed? -- Noel Paton | Nil Carborundum Illegitemi | CrashFixPC | The Three-toed Sloth

On the other hand, it may be that your system needs to have the language pack re-installed - Check Windows Updates, and see whether the pack appears there, either in the Important updates, or the Optional updates. If it's only the occasional appearance of these filose, then just delete them. If it happens at every boot, then you do need to address it - but I can find nothing in the KB articles that fits (it was a problem in Vista RTM, but was fixed in SP1 - see here http://www.thebzone.com/2009/08/prevent-lpksetup-log-file-generation-in-windows-vista/) -- Noel Paton | Nil Carborundum Illegitemi | CrashFixPC | The Three-toed Sloth

Not dare to use the hotfix because do not know whether it works. I check Windows Updates in the Important updates and the Optional updates, but I cannot find any language pack install. Can I know what cause this ? From the CSB.log ? It appear once everytime I boot. Quite annoying. But If it doesn't affect the system, I will just delete them . Does it affect my system operation? Thank you very much.

Did this issue appear before? The issue may related with Windows update. When you install a Windows 7 language pack from Windows Update, the language pack installation may fail. You can try to Reset Windows Update Components and then try to install the update manually again. Furthermore, these logs will not affect your system, you can delete them. Hi, That’s a fix package to reset Windows Update Components. When you install this package, it will fix Windows Update related registry and reset Winsock, restart BITS service and Windows Update service. Also it will install the latest Windows Update Agent. It will not remove any update, so you needn’t to reinstall everything. Regards, Leo Huang TechNet Subscriber Support in forum. I run MicrosoftFixit50202.msi successfully but the problem still exists. 22:36:49:956 : INFO: _wsetlocale returns: Chinese (Traditional)_Hong Kong S.A.R..950 22:36:49:956 : PERF: CbsClient::Initialize - ENTER 22:36:50:970 : INFO: created Cbs session 0x1fc728 22:36:50:985 : DEBUG: Found TI process (C:\Windows\servicing\TrustedInstaller.exe) 22:36:50:985 : PERF: CbsClient::Initialize - LEAVE 22:36:50:985 : PERF: CbsClient::Initialize - ENTER 22:36:50:985 : PERF: CbsClient::Initialize - LEAVE 22:36:50:985 : PERF: Enumerating installed languages - ENTER 22:36:51:016 : DEBUG: CreateFromIdentity("Microsoft-Windows-Client-LanguagePack-Package~31bf3856ad364e35~amd64~zh-HK~6.1.7600.16385") 22:36:51:032 : DEBUG: CreateFromIdentity("Client") 22:36:51:032 : LanguagePack zh-HK created. 22:36:51:032 : type: MUI 22:36:51:032 : identity: Microsoft-Windows-Client-LanguagePack-Package~31bf3856ad364e35~amd64~zh-HK~6.1.7600.16385 22:36:51:032 : WARN: Unable to open Language reg key 22:36:51:032 : DEBUG: CreateFromIdentity("Microsoft-Windows-Client-LanguagePack-Package~31bf3856ad364e35~amd64~zh-HK~6.1.7601.17514") 22:36:51:048 : DEBUG: CreateFromIdentity("Client") 22:36:51:048 : LanguagePack zh-HK created. 22:36:51:048 : type: MUI 22:36:51:048 : identity: Microsoft-Windows-Client-LanguagePack-Package~31bf3856ad364e35~amd64~zh-HK~6.1.7601.17514 22:36:51:048 : WARN: Unable to open Language reg key 22:36:51:063 : PERF: Enumerating installed languages - LEAVE 22:36:51:063 : PERF: RestorePointEnd - ENTER 22:36:51:063 : PERF: RestorePointEnd - LEAVE 22:36:51:063 : DEBUG: Cleaning working path in a new process 22:36:51:079 : INFO: Session 0x1fc728 finalized, reporting no required reboot 22:36:51:079 : INFO: destroying CbsSession 0x1fc728 22:36:51:079 : INFO: attempt to re-finalize session 0x1fc728 not acted on

That seem the error was unable to open language registry key. You can try to hide unwanted language packs in Windows Update. To hide unwanted language packs in Windows Update, follow these steps: 1. Click the Windows 7 Language Packs category in the Select the updates you want to install page to highlight all the language packs. 2. Right-click the highlighted updates, and then select Hide update. More detail you can refer: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/972813 Regards, Leo Huang TechNet Subscriber Support in forum.
