Your RAM, died, or is dying and that you should replace it.If you want to make sure you can check this by:Testing with Memtest86+ from www.memtest.org . Download the .iso to make a bootable cd. Burn the file with 3rd party burning software as an image, not as data. A good 3rd party software is www.imgburn.comYou will most likely have to replace this RAM.Sorry.Young and learning...Have mercy - ChaosIf this post resolves your issue, please click the "Mark as Answer" or "Helpful" buttons. What apps do you run? Please provide the exact verbatim text of the message.my computer is terribly slowHow slow is "terribly slow"? Even if you can't tell us exactly, anapproximate number would help. It's slow doing what? Everything? Booting? Shutting down? Running someprograms? Doing certain things? Please be explicit.and now the disc sounds like its taking off like a planeThe disk and RAM are two different things. Unless you are using thepage file a lot, this has nothing to do with being low on RAM.Is it making noise all the time? If it's just some of the time, whenis it? What are you doing with the computer when it happens?Ken Blake
