Check your windows event logs and make sure that you have auditing turned on, on all computers involved. If you're getting an error like you say, it should show up in the security log of the 03 server. Be careful to scan for any events in the app/sys/security log on the computers involved. Try "net use" from a command prompt and see if you have any connections to the 03 server using a different account (can't connect with two different identities to the same server from a single client) before you try to connect to the share.

I suggest you use the Network Monitor to capture the network traffic, it could help you find which step failed. You can download the Network Monitor from: http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?id=4865 Regards, MiyaThis posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no rights. | Please remember to click "Mark as Answer" on the post that helps you, and to click "Unmark as Answer" if a marked post does not actually answer your question. It's strange. Both Domain and Workstation are "GAME". I suggest you remove this PC from the domain or workgroup, then re-join it to check if it works. This worked perfectly for me. http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/w7itpronetworking/thread/68ffbe2a-09a7-4e29-859c-ca1aaf75dcd1/ click the start button and type secpol.msc in the search function. Browse to "Local Policies" -> "Security Options". Now look for the entry "Network Security: LAN Manager authentication level" and open it. Click on the dropdown menu and select "Send LM & NTLM - use NTLMv2 session security if negotiated". Apply the settings. In the Advanced sharing settings page of Network and sharing center, you need to have it set as Work/Home profile. Try -Enable network discovery -Turn on file and print sharing -Turn off password protected sharing -Use user accounts and passwords to connect to other computers The other settings such as encryption I have set as use 128 bit encryption. Please check related policies. 1. Enter “gpedit.msc” in the Start Search box. 2. Open “Computer Configuration”/Windows Settings/Security Settings/Local Policies/Security Settings. 3. In the right pane, enable the following policies: Network access: Allow anonymous SID/name translation Network access: Let Everyone permissions apply to anonymous users Also please disable the following policies. Network access: Restrict anonymous access to Named Pipes and Shares Network access: Do not allow anonymous enumeration of SAM accounts Network access: Do not allow anonymous enumeration of SAM accounts and shares"Hardware: the parts of a computer that can be kicked."
